TPMS and 37" tires issue anybody seen this?
Didn't see this in a search..
Going to lift my 2012 F250 crew 4x4
6" Pro comp with 37 inch tires on the stock rims
The issue is Truck calls for 75psi on the door label
37" tires they said are mainly 50 PSI
and tpms light will always be lit.
they want to reprogram the tpms for 65psi and found a 37" tire they can use... hopefully...
Any thoughts comments problems?
new 20"rims blows deal out of the water
I guess I could go with 35" tires (or would 35's look horrible on a 6" lift).... or just let the tpms light burn out...
I guess I could also just unplug the TPMS? but that might mess up the remote start....

UPDATE:
they had me run up to the shop...
lowered my fronts to 65psi and did some sort of "learn" sequence with the key in ignition.... I drove it a few miles there and no light or error, and 30 miles home no light or error...
But the 65psi tire is too wide to fit the truck on factory rims and just can't go for new rims too....
So I will put up with the light or cover it with a black "color forms" dot so no sticker residue..
They are gonna try to drop them to 50psi and do the learn again when the lift is being done... I will post the outcome.

I am confused.
The 37's wont fit correct? or you are having problems with the tires fitting the rims?
The dealer can lower the PSI to 50, 60, whatever. Mine did it for me. They may not know how, but they can do it for sure. Actually my dealer did it under "warranty"
If you are saying that 37's are too wide for the OEM wheel, then yes, I can see that point.
But as I said, dealer can make the TPMS any PSI. Mine are set at 50-55ish (I think) as my tires are kept at 60 PSI, so 10 low and they come on.

Dealers won't lower pressure for liability reasons, and is stated in other threads on here... also someone reported that the IDC box software no longer allows dealer to lower... raise only
the 37 tires are 12.50 50 psi. but will turn light on... the 65 psi 37's are 13.50 and would rub badly or I need to buy rims too can't do that right now...
gonna try to do the 50spi and relearn at install and see if it holds

Light Woes....
I have 37x14.50x20" Nitto Terra Grapplers on my truck. I run 65psi in them, which is what they call for. What kind of tire are you putting on that requires such low tire pressure? I'd read the sidewall on the tire you are looking to put on and see what they say as tire pressure and go from there.
You can go to a dealer and do a "re-learn" with ignition key sequence and the TPMS handheld.
You can disable the TPMS with a programmer...not like you won't be able to tell you have a flat with them!!

However many people HAVE had theres lowered on some threads.
I don't get it.
Either it can or it can't be lowered.

I really wish tire makers would make a 37" tire that has a "E" load rating and can be inflated to 80psi. I really would like to lift my truck 2.5" with 37's but I won't do it until I can find the right tire. In my opinion those who are running a tire with a max pressure of 50psi on a Super Duty are asking for trouble.
