The Haynes repair manual I have has seven pages of wiring diagrams. Labeled 1987 through 1989 F-series/Bronco wiring diagram. Haynes manual number 36058, covers 1980 to 1996. The wiring diagrams look clear, but I am not good at reading wiring diagrams so I can't say how good they are. I suppose they are copied from a Ford service manual.

You can find a list of repair manuals and electrical trouble shooting guides on Amazon. Just go under the book section and put in the year and make (1988 Ford F150 electrical troubleshooting manual) along with model. I got a copy of a actual service manual that covers the component, testing, and a schematic of that component. Cost about $25 and it came in about 3 days. It gives you wire colors, connector locations, and some testing procedures. It has helped me find a bad ground for the horn, a bad door lock actuator, and am now checking the vacuum lines to make sure they are all intact. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The Ford Electrical & Vacuum Trouble Shooting Manual is not that good for detail work and has a lot of errors in it. This also goes for the Haynes repair manuals.
The only error free prints you can get for that truck is the one below. That is the one everybody copied for their manuals and ford used to make the Truck in the first place. And it is only $19.99.

Help!
Found this picture online, and highlighted a couple of things. Can someone please tell me what the module is in the circle, and where else the wires in the harness i highlighted go? These wires are all melted/broken/cut off on the truck I am working on, and I don't know what they are supposed to connect to...

Looks like the MAP sensor to me. The signals eventually make their back to the PCM itself.

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) is illustrated at the center-bottom of the schematic above. There should be a vacuum line running to it as well as a 3 pin connector.
