F-150 2015' radical design?
Ford is planning a surprise reveal of a concept for its radically redesigned 2015 F-150, said by insiders to be a game-changer in the half-ton segment, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this month.
Does anyone really think one of the "Big 3" will venture into the unknown with a RADICAL design? I for one, think not. After all, the new 2014' GM Sierra doesn't look much different than its predecessor IMHO.

I think that if ford is going to redesign and use more metal alloys such as aluminum in their next gen 150's then they just might go all in and hope for the best. I just hope it pays off. but if not then they will know by an early reveal, post pone the redesign and configure something in the middle and make it work for them. but that is my opinion, take it for what it's worth. NOT much I know. lol

Guess in 2017/18 when I should be inline for a new truck I will be looking for a 3/4 ton again if this new F-150 is less capable than the current offerings. I wonder if radical will be as radical as the F-150 design change from 1996 to the 1997 more rounded body. I have to admit I really thought Ford had lost it's way when that '97 truck came out. It wasn't till 2009 that I really started to look at F-150's again.

There is no way in hell Ford is going to kill it's most profitable selling vehicle by diminishing it's capabilities. I don't even think the engines will change till mid model design like they did in 2011.
Ford and GM are jointly developing another transmission, I think it's going to be a 10 speed for the trucks and a 9 speed for the sedans.
I think that we will never see gas below $3.00 per gallon again. Ford must continually offer a fuel sipper that can haul mulch too.
When I get my wife's truck, it'll be a well equipped 4x2 XLT Screw so I can get the smaller V-6 offering. MPG's are paramount in my purchase for her.
