One more F100 FINALLY on the road

Today, for the first time, I took my truck out of my neighborhood and into town to get the alignment done on it ( the four link was pretty much spot on and the caster was OK too; he mainly had to deal with toe and camber). The total distance was about 25 miles. Things I noticed were: good oil pressure, no overheating, no funny metalic sounds, loud exhaust, no unusual smells, it tracks pretty well and rides pretty well, but I don't like the "turn in" on the front suspension. I was such a nervous wreck about this trip that I didn't fall asleep until 3:00 am.

Things I still need to address are: an electrical drain gremlin, loud exhaust, loud IAC valve and hunting idle, new wheels and tires(smaller diameter as AOD with 3.25 gear is too steep), fix speedometer/odometer, bolt in passenger bucket, finish door panels and console lid, check for computer codes and deal with those, plumb new vacuum source for brakes, and check for any leaks. Overall, it could not have went smoother. Here are a few recent pictures. Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!

I've been waiting to see those pictures. GOOD JOB!!! It's a nice truck. Glad you've had a good shake-down so far! Hopefully I'll get to see that thing in person this year.

Thanks! I hope to not have to drive "the other vehicle" to the next Truckstock.

Oh, Doc, check out the back window on my truck!

That was a big step you took. Great job. I think the first month I started driving my truck every time I pulled back in I would do the big after ride inspection. It's amazing how sensitive that first ride can make you feel during it. Looking good man.
