my dually springs are sagging-replace with what?
i have tried to search this out, and have found a large posting of spring related stuff, but most of the thread talk about upgrading to the springs i already have. (putting dually springs in f250s and excursions)
from what i have read it looks like the rate up front is around 500 lb/in and 450 lb/in out back.
1. so my question is, are these spring rates ball park correct?
2. is there a set of spring out there that will lift the front 2" (i would like to raise the front 2" with springs and 2" out back with springs OR a 4" block instead of the 2" block that is there now)
my truck is a 7.3 diesel F350 DRW crew 4x4. it has 2" rear blocks under the springs. 147000 miles lariet. i tow a 10,000 lb boat and haul firewood with this truck
i know i can get stock ones from the dealer, but is there anything else that i can get that will hold up and raise me 2" ?
thanks
chris

You could get a mini spring pack. They are 2" worth of extra little springs. They look sorta like a block but made of small leaf springs. Do not put blocks up front. Also, dont stack rear blocks. Also another option is a lift shackle kit.
However, that will only lift your truck, sounds like you have sagging springs and that should be corrected, not covered up. There are a LOT of front spring options available from the factory. For the rear, you could add an air bag kit.
Personally, that would be how I would do it.

i was looking for a spring shop as well as aftermarket stuff.
thanks for the warnings on blocks, but i am fully aware of the danger of spitting out front blocks when coming to a hard stop. and rear blocks just add leverage for spring wrap.
the factory front springs look like 6000 lb is the top f350 spring, which is what my truck has already. didn't know if there was anything else out there that was better.
the procomp 22210 and such look like they were lighter duty than i already have (375 lb/in vs 500 lb/in oem)
thanks for the help

you have 148k on a diesel dually and you use your truck be happy your springs lasted that long. You can just install new front x-code springs which are the 6k plow springs or add the pro Comp 22210 front springs. I have them on my 5.4 f350 yet i dont have the diesel i do tow a nd haul wood all summer and they are holding up beautifully for almost two years now. If not give these guys a call, i use them when i redid my 77 F150 and i bought all my ubolts for my truck and my dads 2000 f350 diesel

thanks scaler,
i figured i would go with the X springs on the front. the rears i still have to decide on.
no they didn't really "last" 148K i am just still using them. the truck has a tilt to the side in the rear and the front is a little lower than it should be.
i would also like to stiffen them up so body roll isn't as bad.
