Original steering wheel replacement, and removal of oall the bull**** wiring that was added to the old girl, we're on the way back to the 1977 manufacturing plant!

A spaghetti or wiring was removed that had been put in by the original owner - **** knows why!

That's quite the cow catcher on the front end! Interesting to see the right hand driver side. Great pics!

X2, be sure to keep us updated. Looks like a nice truck to start with.
That was a LOT of useless wire you tore out. Better to get rid of it before it causes problems.
Quite often the worst thing that could happen to our trucks is a previous owner .

That's a cool truck!

Any idea what those switches and wires were for? I don't see any lights, equipment or anything else that they might be used for.

What did the PO use it for, a road train???

Those switches included a speed control for the windscreen wipers, cigarette lighter, spot lights that were mounted on the bullbar (both now removed), CB radio (this was in the overhead console but all of that **** has been removed and replaced with original sunvisors, and there was power set up in the tray and canopy,

That RAA badge in the grill next to the 'F' is for some old roadside assistance service that operated in South Australia and the Outback. It stands for Royal Automobile Association of South Australia. Broken Hill (Broken Hill, New South Wales - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) is in NSW, but they consider themselves South Australian due to the time zone. They even use the SA telephone codes. Theres some useless info just for you.

Front or back? The back 'step bumpers' come up on Ebay for about 100 bucks here in Australia. With a much larger market, you'd probably get it cheaper on the US Ebay because there'd be more available.
