I am considering it, but I'll want to use Ford fans if I do as that'll fit with the theme.

Saw it and responded with another question. But, I can research it myself. Thanks.

Boy that looks like my brake controller.
Matthew, it does look like a nice fan shroud!

It would look even better if I polished it. It is aluminum after all!

As far as the brake controller, I assume it's factory?

No, it is a Kelsey-Hayes I bought years ago from Hitch Headquarters in Hampton VA. Bought it not long after I bought Darth. He had an electronic one that was horrible, it would surge and pulse when you applied the brakes.

Our van has the same branded controller, but a different model. I highly doubt I'll ever even use the one in the truck. But, it's there.

If you ever want to part with it let me know, everyone has discontinued making them as you can't use them on ABS systems.

I will. The light lights up when I step on the brake, and the lever moves with brake pressure. So, I assume it works.

That's a pretty good check on it. Matthew, post #72 on page 5 of my rework thread has a good set of pictures of mine.

Took the truck for a good drive today to a couple stores and back home on the freeway. Fan shroud works very good. Cools it right down and keeps it around 190 when idling after it runs for a minute. I floored it a couple times on the freeway and the holy crap o meter went high. That mechanical fan had a big drag on that engine before. No cooling problems at high speeds either. Runs at 190-195 on the freeway with the fan off. However, it was pinging at WOT. I have a brown secondary spring in, I'll go down to the next fastest opening spring rate. Should fix that. I know it's not the timing, it's 11* BTDC and full in by 3000 RPM.

Pretty clean truck you got there! I have to say your cooking pan idea turned out really nice and I'll bet it's surprisingly effective as well.
