Thoughts on my 1990 F150's value?

I'm in agreement that 1000 bucks is about all that's worth. And Brad is right, a lifted truck isn't worth any more than a stock one. You can ask 7000 all day, nobody is going to pay that. With the lift in my truck, with the straight axle and the stereo in it, I'd be lucky to get more than 2500 bucks for it. And as time passes and it rots more, I'm going to end up with less and less. I'll probably have it long enough that junking it will bring more money that selling it though.

I don't bother to see what my tuck is worth because it isn't going anywhere. It's worth too much to me to get rid of it. Planning on buying a small, cheap eco-car this summer for the daily driving, and keep the truck as a project/work truck. I'll run it into the ground before I think of selling it...

Something is only worth what a person will pay for it. Doesn't matter what you think it is worth. Modified anything is not worth more, doesn't matter if you think it should be. Vehicles are not investments. I steer clear of modded anything, because as was pointed out, there are a lot of hacks out there.
