To the original question, as others have suggested, I'd bet the owner has no idea what a "straight-6" is, even though that's likely exactly what is powering the truck he's selling. Pics required if otherwise.
Reread my post. Only the 82-83 could have a V6 from the factory. None of the other 80-97 OBS trucks would have one.

As everyone else has said, it's probably an I6. It's pretty common for less than clueful people to think that every six is a 'vee six' these days.
