Thought I'd drop an update---

Well, last Wednesday i had to break down and call in a favor from a friend of mine who owns a diesel performance shop. As many of you know I was swapping a late 99 in for my 2000 motor. Everything went super smooth (I say this in hindsight) until it was time to start.

I knew it would take many long cranks to push the air out and allow
Everything to build pressure. But then I hit that "point" and it just wasn't starting. Hooked it up to a solus an saw it wasn't building ICP pressure 5psi to 94) on 3 working sensors, 1 being brand new. I took my spare ipr I had cleaned out (working ipr) and put it in still nothing. Getting low on time and wanting to spend time with family I hadn't seen in a year or more, I broke down and called a friend, one of the very few I'd ever let work on my truck.

They started on it Saturday afternoon and didn't get very far, it was apparently hydro locked from me checking the injectors being seated and I didn't purge all the cylinders. They got all that sorted out today and are staying over tonight to begone trouble shooting. THE ONLY few things
I didn't check were, torque on the nut for the hpop gear, they said its good. I didn't pull the plugs on the back of the heads to make sure all air was out and make sure it wasn't air locked, and I didn't pressurize the Icp port to see if any air or oil was getting past injector o rings. I should have an answer in the morning and ill let you guys know. This thing is dumping oil pressure just don't know where.

Hope it works out. Should be simple fix. Air should come out on its own after cranking long enough to at least start. Are you sure its not electrical?

I didn't dig to far into the electrical side other than buzz testing and quadruple checking the harness, all plugs and connections and everything checked out, the sub 100psi ICP is the dead give away to why it won't fire, just went insane trying to figure out where the pressure was or wasn't going . I high doubt it's electrical but these guys are good or they'd never be touching my truck so I trust they'll get it going tonight or tomorrow morning. I think it's the IPR and or ipr connection to be honest. Those 160/100% injectors, and no
Boost leaks and beans tunes have me anxious. Already saving up for h2e system when I build this spare block sitting in my garage

Or sell it and do a p pump cummins project haha, also I have a ton of spare parts in the shop now if anyone wants or is interested I have a 2000 block that needs completely rebuilt ( and both heads rebuilt ) ill prolly selly everything and have 2 spare hpop cores and 1 spare set of injector cores. Much more as well! I'd prolly give most of the little stuff away for the cost of shipping.

Are you sure the IPR plug was the correct one? It is the same "style" plug as the EBPV solenoid, and there have been issues with them getting swapped from other members.

Otherwise, hopefully you will find your issue.

I checked the plugs, also I don't think it'd be too easy to confuse them as the proper plug comes
Off the fuel bowl heater pigtail and lines pretty much up to the ipr as the harness lays, plus then itd be way to short to reach the ebpv if I had one, I appreciate it again :P but I went through the harness literally 4 times and did try swapping plugs for kicks haha
