93 f150 more power

Whats up guys, ive got a 1993 f150 ext. cab 4x4 with a 5.0 and its a great truck but i wanna get more power from it. It had dual exhaust when i first got it but a few weeks ago one of the pipes broke off at the muffler and so the rpms have been high, im guessing due to less backpressure? this is what im wanting to do:

- 4 inch rough country suspension lift
- 33in bfg all terrains
- longtube headers
- straight pipes from headers out, no mufflers
- 4.10 gears, instead of current 3.55s

all tht is over some time of course but what else could i do to get more low end tq and high end hp? i do a bit of wheelin so i wanna make this truck be able to handle anything i can throw at it, thanks again for the help and advice! -Mike

Skip the straight pipe. I see that more of a dowfall then an improvement for a stock 302. It will be just noisy not more powerful. I would step the gear up more if possible, like 4.56 if you really want to add low end grunt. Might not be as highway friendly as 4.10 though.

Just a couple thoughts.

Id go with those 4.56 cause with 33 inch tires and 4.10 gears your actual gear ratio will be 3.59 but with 4.56 gears the real gear ratio will be 3.99

ok good deal, thanks for ur thoughts guys, and i was originally going to go with 4.56's but i was told tht it mite be a little too much for the 33's and tht 4.56's would be better suited for 35's, which led me to the 4.10's

do u guys think tht longtube headers with maybe some high flow cats then go a y pipe and duals from the muffler out would give me the most bang for my buck as far as power increase from the exhaust?
