resurrecting my '75 F100

Hello good people,

Two years ago, I suffered a fire in the engine compartment of my 1975 F100. Finally, I have the time (and now garage) to try to see if she can be resurrected.

I wanted to post two pictures, one of the engine and two of a wire cluster I'm curious about. What is it?

Realizing that only so much can be gathered from these images, if anyone has any pointers, suggestions or advice - I'd be most appreciative.

Photo 1 Engine

Photo 2 Wiring cluster, what is it?

they are links because my many attempts to include the photos failed.

Thanks!

The one picture of the "mystery" wiring is a little too close. Not enough detail to tell what it is.
From the engine picture it looks like you're going to need at least the harness that goes to the distributor and gauge sending units.
Wire assy., dash panel to engine gauge feed
Fits: 75-76 F100 w/ 302 before s/n A50,001 except w/ California emissions
D5TZ-14289-J
No dealer or obsolete supplier has one so it looks like your only option is the salvage yard.
If you can post some more pics of the ?? harness I'll see if I can identify/locate one.

I believe there are a couple of companies selling replacement harnesses for the Dentsides. Pretty sure Painless Wiring has one, and a couple of others out there. I've used painless products on mine, but used the generic harness because they didn't have the Ford specific one at the time. I can say their tech support was pretty good.
