97 f150 4.6 no fuel pressure I THINK
Hi,
Left early this morning to go hunting. Warmed my truck up for 5 mins or so, had a little trouble starting but it was 20 deg with a wind chill. when I left less than a mile from my house my truck started losing power, rpms would drop then rev back up. It did this for a min or two then stopped all together. I got her home and replaced the fuel filter, way past due, but still nothing. If I turn my key off then try to start again it sounds like it almost starts but right before it would be an idle it dies.
I do not hear a whirring sound from the gas tank when I turn the key to the on position.
fuses all look good.
not sure about relays
Part are gonna start getting pricey so was hoping someone might be able to help.
thanks

Fuel Pump
Got a gauge and had no pressure at all.
Checked all fuses and relays. all good.
Dropped my gas tank and pulled my fuel pump. Hooked up to a battery and it ran for a min then stopped. Hit it with a screw driver and started to run, sort of, for another min.
Replaced fuel pump and all is well again.
Thanks for all the help, this forum is great glad to be a member.
