I noticed my EGR valve actual position is always cracked open at 0.16% or 0.32% during regens when desired is 0%. 0% desired = 0% actual during normal driving.

Do you guys notice the same?

This morning I left a huge smoke screen in back again..right after moving from a long stoplight. The poor guy behind me fell way back to stay out of the smoke.

 

I wonder if the two are related. I cannot monitor my EGR position so I wonder about that.

I don't smoke during regens at all.

I went 427 miles before my last regen last night. Fairly good interval and no smoke. Was pulling the 5er as well so we were burning some suds.

 

what are you monitoring with?

 

Banks IQ. It will monitor alot of stuff by not EGR position.

 

I'm monitoring with an AutoEnginuity scanner. It has access to just about everything, literally... including stuff like all 5 blend door opening positions in realtime.
