radiator bottom blew out!!!!

2006 F350 4X4 6.0 when taking the trans cooler lines loose from radiator water was in the fluid.
any idea's on how to flush the tranny? or will draining the tranny, torque converter and cooler refill drive a little then drain again?

if it was a chev I'd burn it but it's my 350 ya know!

Can you re-word that?

I think he means the transmission cooler has somehow failed causing transmission fluid and coolant to mix?

If that is the case, do not drive it! The coolant and transmission fluid will more than likely harm the transmission by being overfilled. You will need to take the truck to the dealer to have a heated fluid flush done. First thing is first, drain all of the mixture from the transmission and cooling system. Loop the transmission lines at the radiator so you bypass the rad cooler for now. I assume you need to replace the radiator so do that but do not re-connect the transmission lines yet. You will probably have to flush the cooling system with distilled water a few times to insure all the ATF is removed. The transmission is the real issue, IMHO I would have it towed to the dealer so and explain what happened and you need a heated transmission service including filters (about 225.00) Explain that the rad cooler has been bypassed until the system is flushed then have them simply re-connect everything and you should be good to go. Basically water and oil are mixing wich is never good and how things get damaged fast. This seems like poor cooling system maintenance to me. I had this happen on my old 96 ranger, I never noticed untill my transmission gave up and I opened my rad cap to find it filled with thick red transmission sludge coolant mix! Btw it only took 250 miles to roast the transmission.
