About to place an order regarding wheels and tires...please double check this for me

I am about to order some Gennie wheels and tires from Summit.

My 53 has a stock suspension and I am a huge fan of the big and little tire look with wide whites. I don't want to order some stuff and then something doesn't fit or the tires stick out passed the fenders.

Here is the setup I plan to order...please tell me if this won't work.

15x6 wheels with 3.75" backspacing up front with 205/75/15 tires.
15x8 wheels with 4" backspacing on the back with 255/70/15 tires.

Also, I want the series 14 Gennie wheel...correct?

Thanks!

I think it's a good choice although I personally think 205s are a little small in front. I would rather have 215s or 225s. I can't speak for the backspace and width since I do not have a stock suspension...

Hello,

Be extremely careful with that backspacing and width on the rear. I blew out a brand new pair of BFG in a 1 mile trip home from Sears. The "tech" at Sears mounted the tires and didnt think or have the knowledge to check and call me to say "Hey dude this isnt going to work". So even "dummer" me picks up the truck and drives home not noticing the slight smell of burning rubber or smell coming from my truck. I still have the slightly discolored bedsides to show for it. Went to a 7 inch wheel with a 3.75 BS. Just a word from the wiser.

If it helps any, I did the following calculations:

Front 205x75x15x6: Section width of tire 8.2 "
Diameter of wheel/tire 27.1 "

Rear 255x70x15x8: Section width of tire 10.4 "
Diameter of wheel/tire 29.1"

I can't speak to back spacing since I am not running stock suspension.

This schematic from Stockton Wheel may help confirm your back space numbers: http://www.stocktonwheel.com/pdfs/customize_wheel.pdf Jag
