A buddy of mine got a set of 35" Duratracs and aftermarket wheels for $1,400. So I am gonna have to price around I think. And that price is only a 285 tire.
I was quoted just under $1900 for the DuraTracs in LT325/65/18s.

Nope, don't need them right this moment. Have to get my ball joints done next week first. Just trying to get everything lined up.

Would rather have a warranty but we will have to see. Gonna call the guy back at discount tire and see what he will do with his price.

The 325's were more. But I got 70 series and they only come in limited sizes. I really wanted a little bigger like 295 but would have had to go to the 305 which was 1.04" larger in diameter and they would barley rub. I have mud flaps on and they would have hit them for sure. Did not want any issues with rubbing and did not want to add a lift either. The 16" tires should be cheaper then the 18's too.

I know a guy in town whom gives us a discount on everything we go into him but the funniest part is by the time you get from where you are to Arizona I don't think it would be worth it. He is only a small town tire shop so I don't think he could help you out.

Cooper STT.. friend had the 305/70/16 on his 02 7.3 and they lasted about 45k, with burnouts and odd wear on the front end from ball joints. Know many people that run this tire and they are all very happy

Although i see the duratrac has the size i use (315/70/17) so i may look into these more...

Know anyone that has access to a wholesale tire distributor? At my work we get tires through a distributor for our fleet. I just had our guy check and I can get 295/70/18 Terra Grapplers for $210. Discount Tire wants $275 for them, and everywhere else I checked was in the same ball park. That's over $250 cheaper for the set of 4, and I'll just mount and balance them myself for free.

Very nice. I might be able to mount and balance them myself. Will have to ask the head guy at the city Motorpool and see what he says.

That's only 10 bucks per tire cheaper than Discount Tire. Plus you have to pay for shipping, which is another $100+. That means you are at $1100 (Discount Tire's out the door price) and they're still laying in your driveway.

Got mine from tirepackage.com, stayed w/ the stock 265/70/17 and got them shipped to my door for a shade less than $800 after $150 in rebates. Had a local shop mount them. No roadhazard though.

If you decide to go w/ the Duratracs, be sure to join Tread Lightly, it costs you $25 but you get $100 rebate. Tread Lightly - Goodyear Rebate for Tread Lightly! Members

Thank you for the tread lightly info. So that's $60 rebate from TireRack, and $100 dollar rebate from tread lightly which brings me down to about $880 out the door with no roadside hazard. Price is getting a little better to swallow now. Possibly might have them on by next week. Alright, now I am getting excited Still have a lot of work to do before hand though. Have to get ball joints and front joints before I am gonna go get them.

Alright. Got the funds all in order. Hopefully gonna get the tires mid next week. I am hoping to tackle the ball joints and u joints on Sunday or Monday. And then possibly get the tires on Tuesday or Thurday.

On a side note. Can anybody post a pic for the black wall tires on your truck? That is my biggest hang up. Really want the white walls and cant get that unless I go with a 285 tire. So let me see some pics please. Thx
