New numbers

Finally got a chance to put my truck on the dyno today. I found out that my rear brakes are barely grabbing, if they are at all. I had a hard time getting enough load on the engine to spool the turbo completely, but got close on the last run. In the end I was only 5 psi lower than I run on the street, so I feel like the numbers are close. Plus trap speed last time I was at the track showed I should be around 440hp and I've added water/meth since then.

Anyways, I was able to pull 464hp/820tq out of it. Mods should be in my sig.

Damn that would be perfect. When you punch it is the power right on tap? I know with my truck with 120cc splits, e-fuel, and map moved I can punch it and it takes a bit to get going but she will haul ***.

The system I'm using right now is just a Snow kit with a 7 gallon tank, single pump, and two nozzles. Right now I'm using one of the big nozzles and a small nozzle. The ONLY reason I'm using this kit is b/c my brother used it for a couple months on his Dodge and decided to sell the truck, so I got it cheap. Later on I may swap pumps to something else. I did notice about 100* drop in EGTs with washer fluid though. So only 1300* in my hottest tune.

With just one nozzle and it being progressive I've seen 100* drop in EGT's just using water. I also have a seven gallon tank and can go thru that in 250 to 300 miles. Last leg of my trip it was full when I started out and checked it after getting home and its still full???? I'm going to check that out now, either the nozzle is clogged or the pump quit, hope its the nozzle.

Nice job

I think my thinking of only hitting 425hp +- after my setup is done is shooting short.

Hey Glenn, I haven't gotten to tow long distance with mine since adding the water/meth, but so far I haven't needed any extra cooling or power when towing. I may not even use it towing. Lol. The only reason I installed it was to see if the power gains my brother thought he got from it was legit.

So I don't know how fast I can run through water with the two nozzles, but I do know that using the two big nozzles, it was enough to make the engine buck at anything above 70% duty cycle, even though it's progressive. Lol. Right now I'm running it with washer fluid and don't have it come on til about 15psi and it goes 100% duty cycle around 25psi.

My brother ran it towing with the same nozzles I'm using and he said he would empty the tank in about 200 miles or so. When this tank is done I'm going to fill it with water just to see how much EGTs are lowered with just water. If it lowers another 50* I shouldn't be able to get over 1250 with this thing towing uphill. Lol

Ya, let me know if you think just the water is doing a good job. Checked mine today and its the nozzle clogged. I'm going to order a couple more from Devil. I'll soak it in vinagar and it will probably be OK. Its the hard water I get on the road at campgrounds clogged it with scale. I try only to use filtered water out of my camper that I have two filters on, a pre filter and then a carbon filter. I've even thought about a soft water conditioner for the camper, LOL

I'm hoping after the s366 that I don't need it. It sure would be nice to use the power available and not worry about EGT's.

How much horse power are you shooting for? What are you gonna do next to do better or do you like that setup?

lol Gabe... Travis is never COMPLETELY happy with a setup. He may like it and keep it for a while, but only for a while long enough until he finds something that might be better to try.

In going to keep this setup as far as the engine goes for a little bit until I can build my new axles and transmission. I want to see what this setup is actually capable of on the track, but my 3rd gear synchro is dead and with no locker I can only pull a 13.82 right now. So Im going to run it like this with a built auto and 4wd to see what happens. I'm looking for low 13s with this setup.

The next step with the engine has something to do with billet connecting rods... Maybe something to do with compound turbos... Idk.. something like that though. Lol

EDIT: Gabe, this setup could benefit from more fuel. If I was to bump up the injectors to 238/100's and put the studs and springs in it, I'm sure we'd see it come alive. This turbo is enough to run in that kind of setup and should make mid to high 500's in that setup. I may even try that out for the heck of it, but in the end I want much bigger injectors than that, so I'm not sure that I want to get injectors twice.
