front shackle bracket removal and crossmember question

what is the best way to remove the rear shackle bracket for the front leaf springs on a 56 frame. it looks like it shares some rivets with the trans crossmember, i believe. do you need the old trans crossmember. i welded in the Mustang 2 crossmember and there will be one for the engine mounts and another i guess for the tranny mount. just seems like alot of crossmembers in a small area

I removed both of these crossmembers on my 56. My frame is fully boxed and with the beefy Mustang II crossmember I do not see that I will have an issue with the frame flexing.
