Well...after looking for an independent mechanic that could be depended on..I finally found him...it was not easy..He does not advertise..has a large shop on his property and is a very down to earth mechanic...no outside sign..you have to know where he is.
a very busy shop...he maintains the county police cars also.
so the 2002 powerstroke described earlier with no cold start without plugging in.

So I followed my bud over and talked with the mech....he says he always looks at the wiring and he stocks IDM's if needed...the poor connections are what usually kills IDM's
but nothing is 100%...
Anyway..just for the record..he changed the remaining 6 injectors that had not been changed....Labor, parts, taxes...out the door was $1739.00 ....my bud says he had not remembered his truck sounding that good in years...
also..the mech. said he only uses an injector rebuilder somewhere in Macon so he does not have to do the job but once.

In georgia he is in Jasper County Monticello address at Jackson Lake...
