54 f100 truck bed DISassembly...

Hey guys....maybe a dumb question, but my bed on my 54 f100 (front panel and bed sides) looks like they only have a seam...no bolts or spot welds that I see at the moment. How would i get the bed apart? I'm thinking that if I sand or grind a little on the seam, that I would be able to see spot welds to drill out...am I right or wrong? HELP PLEASE!!! Thanks in advance.

The front panel is spot welded to the side panels in 4 places on each side if not bolted together.

Thanks *****...I kinda thought so, but I wanted a second opinion. What about the rear lower cross member of the bed (main rear runner, just goes all the way across under the tailgate)...should it be spot welded too, like the front?

The rear cross member is just bolted to the frame and then thru the wood and side rails to the crossmember. Some have welded that ...not sure why?
