O and BTW, that red cab was JUNK, so I had no worries about hurting it with the chain. On a GOOD cab, I use a 2" wide nylon sling

I seen others use 2x8 boards through the door openings to spred out the weight of the cab as they did not pull out the glass.

I seen a truck for sale years ago that had the roof bent up just from a chain pulling the cab off! The guy would not drop the price even with a messed up cab!

well we got a lot done today, started out early in the morning but that's how i like doing it. anyways after we got the truck down to the shop we started pulling the accessories and all the vacuum lines, sensors and engine harness, my uncle did most of that with me watching learning haha i really don't know too much about the vacuum lines and that stuff. anyways after that w2e put the truck in the air and disconnected everything from the trans and then pulled the drive shafts, then out came the transfer case. lowered it back down and pulled the motor, then back up and pulled the trans. then it was lunch time a 3. when we got back we pulled both gas tanks, and the cross member for the front tank. then disconnected the rest of the stuff that was from cab to frame besides steering and brakes. so then we took it back to my uncles and once back there we disconnected the steering and the master cylinder, then the cab bolts came out. then we pulled the cab off and sat itover on a skid. thats about it for the night, we plan on spending the day on it tommorrow switchin the axles over as long as weather is somewhat nice for a little, if not we may just take it back down the street to the shop, here are the pictures:

s

here are some pictures of the frame that got bent, if you look at the front tire on the pass side and the rear tire on pass side you can see how bad it is, last week when uncle was following me down to the shop the day we pulled the bed and doghouse he said he could see it going down the road crooked, pretty crazy. you can also see the bow out on the drivers side right after the front cab mount.

Hey, Fantastic Job, if I must say! Reminds me a lot of when I did my frame off. Try to save as many frame clips as you can, I ended up having to hit a junk yard a few times for a few wiring clips, and fuel and brake frame holders.

Don't get discouraged, in the end you will feel completely satisfied knowing you touched and repaired practically every but and bolt. Can't beat that feeling.

and yes cant wait till its done and i'll know how much i put into it, i think it will be satisfying, if not i must be in the wrong area of interests haha

well today as another productive day. after we got home from early church we started on moving fuel lines, harness and brake lines from old frame to new. then after we got everything moved we did the axles and everything went good. here are some pics, plans are to paint the underside of the cab and inside Wednesday if its nice out because i am off school. gonna put the gas tanks back in also:
rear axle out

then we put on my uncles original 97 wheels that have some junk tires on them that were in the shed because mine kept getting in the way
