Auto salvage in TN western Ky
Hey gents,
When i retired from the Army we decided to stay in the south near where i was stationed at Ft Campbell Ky. I grew up in the metro Detroit area and anyone form there can tell you that salvage yards in the area are a plenty. I have many fond memories of spending saturdays digging thru the bone yards with my dad and grandfather looking for parts.
Now that i am getting back into my street warrior i am looking for salvage yards in the middle tennessee, western kentucky area with classic ford truck, car, and FE engine parts. I wouldnt be afraid to travel more than an hour or so to nashville, memphis, northern alabama, etc
anybody got any recommendations?

Dexter - sort of old school myself when it comes to looking for parts in the junkyards. This concept is new to me but seems like a great way to cover some territory with minimal effort. Can you elaborate a little on how it works and some of your experiences? Is it mostly late model stuff or can you find 60's & 70's or even older. Your post has me looking at this in a new way.
