My tranny has the rubber gaskets for looking in on the outside driver's side. I don't see any bolt on pto covers...
Sorry I'm fairly new to tranny stuff. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge, guys.
It's an 89. When I took the tranny off to replace the clutch, pressure plate, and the internal slave cylinder (which was leaking and the cause of the problem) right after I bought it, the best I could tell from other descriptions was that it was a M5OD, but I could definitely be wrong. That was my first tranny work.
Any clues to telling the difference?
This is that 'grey area' with the light duty F250's and the heavy duty F250's. The light duty ones came w/ the 5.0 and the Mazda trans, just like a Bronco/F150. The heavy duty F250's came w/ the 5.8 and the ZF transmissions.

And my F250 has the inline 6... Like I said-- Frankenstein.
That is odd. a 33 is 32.6" tall and a 235/85/16(stock size) is 31.7" tall. That should NOT equate to 13 mph off. @ 65 you speedo should read 62-63mph with your current 33" tires
From the sticker, it looks like my factory tires were 215/85/16 (30.4"), which is a little closer to these potential tires, and my gear ratio is 3.55. Is that better for the potential change in tires, or worse than 4:10?
I take it the "M" tranny code means the M5OD, too?
