New F150 Supercab 3.7 liter owner checking in......
Just traded my 06 ranger in on it. Wanted something bigger, but still a LITTLE fuel efficient. Did not go ecoboost. Just a plain 3.7 auto.....What kind of gas milage are you guys with this truck/ engine combo getting? Mine had 2300 miles on it, so its not BRAND NEW, but it is showing 13 miles per gallon currently. I choked when I saw that. Any idea? I bought a bnew subaru forrester 2 years ago, that thing said 20 mpg with the 2.5 liter 4 for the first 5-6 months, then it kicked up to 29-31......can I expect the same thing with this f150? Really excited to have a fullsize, hoping I got a good one.....

In all fairness the 3.7 is the least owned of the motors as well. Not saying they are not great but I have not heard of any problems but I've only heard of a couple people on this forum that bought them .

i'd venture a guess that the vast majority of 3.7's out there are serving as fleet and rental vehicles.
i have found that most people couldn't possibly care any less about a vehicle which they do not own (present company excluded).
i suppose i could be wrong, too. Either way, i'd sure like to hear more about how the 3.7's hold up, especially from those who use thier trucks as more than people-movers.

true, that the 3.7's are the least talked about here on FTE, but i have a feeling that may have something to do with the role they play in the market.
