i have 33.12.50s, i think i might just go with an open carrier in the front then, i mud but not very often so i figure just the locker in the rear and 4.56 gears will do great, def gota be an improvement over stock 3.55's

With 33's you can do an LS and not worry, a locker in mud would be alright until you got to the other side and hit solid ground with the tires spinning. Rocks and trails with big tires are where you really see things break.

I can't answer those last two questions but I just remembered a little tibit that might ease your gear swap. The D44ttb has a center section that comes out as a single unit. Ring, pinion, spiders, all together in the third member so you could just order a whole third member with 4.56 gears and a LS or whatever you want and bolt it right in without having to set the gears.

yea i seen that i can get the whole deal but i think im just gona put the gears in with a locker in the rear and ls in the front. also would u recommend i get the kit to rebuild the front and rear like the bearings and seals and all that stuff none of its leaking and iv never had a problem with any of it so far so i didnt know if i should just leave it and put the gears in and call it done or go ahead and put new seals and bearings in 2
