Rear Block Lift Question

I am soon about to lift my 89 F250 2wd with a 6 inch skyjacker lift. The only lift i can find for it has blocks for the back. Ive heard bad things about block lifts, but i really am not gonna do much offroading at all, its mainly for looks. My question is will it help and be more stable if i were to weld the blocks on to the springs?

3 years with blocks, they seem to be holding out fine. And trust me, I dont exactly "baby" my truck when I drive it.

No don't weld the blocks in. If that was a good idea, they'd recommend it to begin with. just torque U-Bolts down to whatever specs they give...or as tight as you can. The only time you spit out a rear block is when somebody forgot to tighten bolts down. the biggest concern is axle wrap. You floor it and the axle pivots underneath the blocks. And if you have a real issue with that, install some ladder bars to correct it. But if its just a road truck, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

6" is a huge block. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with that much block. Maybe do a shackle flip in the rear, and use a shorter block?

Never weld on springs! They are a high strength steel which is prone to cracking if welded without proper procedurs.

I couldnt find one with springs in the back. I found one but for an F150. And im not gonna use F150 springs on a F250. I think the blocks are safer than that

I have seen and have plenty of friends with 6" Blocks, unless you are making some serious power and torque, you wont have a problem if you install the blocks per the installation instructions, and like mentioned above, DO NOT weld

and they are much safer than blocks. i just put a set on my 88 to replace a broken main leaf. ride surprisingly well for a 6 inch lift spring.

Your trucks pretty sick! How much lift do you have upfront? and what size tires do you have? 33s?
