Im thinking of ordering a 6 inch lift for my 89 F250 2wd. I found a Skyjacker lift for it for a pretty good price! Whats yalls take on this lift? and i dont care if you think lifting a 2wd is dumb. Its my truck. 80-96 Ford F250-F350 2WD 6" Skyjacker Lift Kit

That's hard to believe thats a Skyjacker lift. I know it is but I'm not a fan of those chinsey pivot brackets. That was the whole reason I tore out my Rough Country lift and installed a SJ. They kept egging the holes on the pivot brackets due to lack of spread along the crossmember.
Look at the pivot brackets in this kit. Much more meat to bolt to.
Item #286PK-AH / Skyjacker Suspensions
I know it's for a 150 but I'm not sure why they wouldnt work for a 2WD 250.

Well I wouldnt risk getting one thats meant for an F150. F250 has HD axles and needs stronger support. That lift is meant for an F150. Also the one i found is 760 bucks, this is a 800 buck difference.

Nothing wrong with lifting a 2wd.. people bash it all the time but hell I had my lift in mine before I made it 4x4. Made it look better than the stock low ground clearance that it had.

One thing I might suggest, if you're going with a 6 inch lift, is to get LIFT SPRINGS for the Rear, and not lift blocks. Just my $0.02 though

I agree. Never cheap out on lift parts, you'll regret it. And more than likely it will cost you more in the end.

I compared the lift kit with the one on the actual Skyjacker site, its the same lift, AND your saving $300 I would go for it man.

Ya i heard springs are better! but i couldnt find a package for 2wd with springs. And its not worth buying this one and getting springs seperately and just throwing away the blocks
