It is pretty much complete other than the engine and grill. I am going to pull the headers, tailgate, the door panels are pretty much mint, front and rear seats, roll bar. The only other thing really missing is a front drive shaft.

It came into the local wreckers. It sat at a ranchers for years. I got it for time served and was going to restore it. The only problem was the local law took it off the road in 03. That meant it would need an inspection before being allowed back on the road. I found my all black one on Craigslist. The guy was asking $2500 I got him down to $2000. It came with a 429 and 5-6 boxes of parts, brand new in the box oil pan for the 429.

It just didn't make much sense to redo the other one.

Man a roll bar would be nice.. Shipping would kill me though. I need a new grill shell, the aluminum part but I think I can get that local. Now that I have the opportunity to think of parts, I can't think of anything I need...

I don't think I did too bad on it. I could have sold it a bunch of times. Not many of the 78-79 vintage around here.

Removed the radiator and water pump. changed the bypass hose which was about to explode and then spent the rest of the day soldering cracks and holes shut in the radiator. At $500 for a new one I thought it was a good idea. still need the pressure hose for the power steering, it should be in Wednesday.
Got a call to assist a buddy who had gotten stuck in the melting snow on a min maint road, He was extracted before I got there so me and another went through it to show him how it's supposed to be done.
