Andre, congrats to the kids on the Pinewood Derby. I fondly recall the days when I was a participant. It was always fun, but I fully agree that the parents need to stay out of it. I remember there were always a few cars that showed up that looked like they were CNC machined and then professionally painted. You knew good and well that the kids were playing Atari while Daddy built the car.
This morning, we wrapped up the review of the software for our new PLC and managed to get out a little early. I was able to use the extra time to file my taxes. One less thing to worry about now.
On my way home, I filled up for $1.92/gallon. While filling, a guy next to me decided to explain to me why he wouldn't have a Diesel anymore due to "that ammonia stuff". I didn't wish to debate him while topping off, but I have been fortunate enough to have never had an emissions component failure, and every 8,000 miles or so I add 2 jugs of DEF in my driveway. For me, it is a non-issue. His argument was that we didn't need DEF because Diesel soot falls to the ground. He also said that everyone he knows just adds distilled water instead of DEF. I tried to explain a few things to him without being corrective, and share my own experiences, but it is funny how much people still DON'T know about these things and how much BS people will believe and spread as truth. He wasn't harping on Ford either. He was driving an Eco-Boost F-150 and had Ford Diesels in the past.
Gerry update: He's still posting on another forum, so at least we know he's still kickin'.
Have a great evening gang.

I know I shouldn't have helped an much as I did, but come on man....you can't expect a 10 yr old to know how to run a lathe.
We did have fun.
