Good Shops in the SF Bay Area

Hi,

I originally posted the following in the Nor-Cal chapter forum and got no response so I thought I'd try here.

I need to have some work done to my '53 Ford to get it road worthy once again. Since I have limited time and skills, I need to find a good shop in the SF Bay Area that will be willing to do the following type of work:

Install a Mid-Fifty Front-Down and Forward Spring Kit
Install a Mid-Fifty Complete Disc Brake Conversion Kit
Rebuild steering box and/or front end
Install sway bars
Install replacement side and wing window glass
Install wiring harness

Any references or suggestions are gratefully appreciated!

Thanks,
BDL

I'm hearing good things about Pacific Fabricators in Morgan Hill...a little ways from Alameda. Last year they built some custom cars for Disney...a Mater truck and a Lighting Mcqueen. They're on Tennant Ave. in Morgan Hill.

You should post this question over on the HAMB. You'll get a better response there.

You can also try these guys in San Jose, http://gambinokustoms.com/. I don't know how much they charge. What you want done won't be cheap since it requires a lot labor hours.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am aware of Gambino, but I'm sure they are way out of my budget and their turnaround time might be too long. I'll give them a call next week an see for sure.

I was hoping to find something closer to the East Bay if possible.

Thanks again,
BDL
