quick ignition timing question

ok, i did the six litre tune up a wile back, and for some reason i decided to check the timing again, it was a little hire then i remember setting it at. so i shut the truck down pull the spout connector, and check again. timing was a lower. so i adjust it back to about 13-14 degrees, shut the truck off, put the spout connector back in, start up the truck, and the timing was up again (to round 20- 25) but when i hit the gas and let off it, returns to normal for a second, then jumps back up. so i shut the truck down, pull the spout, start it up and the timing is right were i set it. is this normal? i did put i true duel exhaust (with long tubes) right before i did the tune up (dont think i checked the timing after plugging in the spout after setting the timing the first time) and was wondering if maybe the computer was advancing the timing because of the free flowing exhaust? maybe if i was pounding more air into it (more than a k&n filter) i could see the timing advancing to keep up... i dont no, there isnt any pinging and the truck runs great, maybe i am worrying for nothing.

sorry for the long post,
Adam

Sounds normal to me, the computer is doing its thing when the spout is connected.
