52 F1 Dome light mounting

Hi , I was wondering if any of you folks have a photo of how a stock (round) dome light (with attachment arm) mounts above the rear window. I have the light but my 52 F1 did not come with one and I want to mount it correctly. THANKS! John

Here's a wider angle view before I removed it and cleaned it up.

52 F1 Dome Light

Thanks Joe ! Do you cut a hole in the cardboard headliner ? or does it slip behind light and mounting bracket? John

I don't have a headliner yet, but I've been told you have to cut two holes; one for the light and one for the switch.

Also, the headliners are made for 48-50 trucks, but can be cut to fit the larger rear windows on our 51-52 trucks.

And Welcome to FTE!

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but here's a shot of mine just before I took the light out. It mounted by the same screw as the headliner. You have to cut the holes in the headliner for the light and switch.

Thanks Wayne. That's the first pic I've seen showing what it should look like when the headliner is installed. That helps a lot.

I have a dome light I would sell, I have a 51 F1 and it is the round one just like in the pictures above. I havent tested it to see if it works but if anyone is interested I could do a few basic continuity tests with an ohm meter. Its not in mint condition but its not destroyed either. I dont plan on running a dome light so I really don't need it

It might be hard to find just the lense by itself. Finding the whole assembly will be somewhat easier, but it's still not as common to find either.
