96 Utility Truck

I found this 96 and would like to purchase but I hate the utility bed. Would it be easy enough to remove it and replace with a standard bed? This truck has 170k, cold ac, and only 2500.http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...4d6b701f66.jpg

As long as the bed you got has all the wiring and you have the fuel line hoses its only 6 bolts if I remember right that hold the bed to the frame

Thanks. I guess the wiring would include lights and tow package. I'm hoping I can make an even trade with someone for the standard bed...

It depends on if they are both the same wheel base... (short/long) but yes the 90 bed will fit the 96....

Looks like an 8 foot bed which means that all 78-96 ford trucks except ranger will fit if they have an 8 foot bed

78 & 79 might "fit" on the frame but the body lines would not be right... 80 through 86 had different wheel openings and would not look so hot on an 87+

87-97 F-150_250_350 SRW plus 97 F-250 HD and F-350 SRW are the same...

Thanks, I really want this truck just not the bed. It has a V8 gas with only 170k. The woman bought it from a family member for 2800 to move fron Ohio to the east coast. Now that the move is complete, she wants to sell it...For 2800.... Ac still works.
