1953 Ford F600 - what's it worth?

I know "whatever someone is willing to pay", but I hope to at least get an idea of what some one would pay.

Admittedly I don't know a lot about the bigger trucks. Last night (it was too dark to get pictures) my brother-in-law took me to see one his boss wants to get rid of. Some of the details are:

- 1953 F600
- Mercury V8
- boomerang side emblems
- stainless gutter trim
- chrome vent windows
- 50th horn button
- turn signals
- chrome grill teeth
- driver & passnger door lock
- full upholstery with arm rests, door panels, headliner, driver & passenger sunvisors
- locking glovebox
- windshield washer

It's unrestored. The outside is a hazard yellow, but truck was original a teal color.

It seems to me it is fairly well optioned out for large truck.

I know it hard to value something without seeing it - I will try to get some pictures in the next few days.

My '53 F600 has all of those things as well, also chrome vent frames and factory turn signals (on fender). Dunno if it was a 50th anniversary thing or what......

Value is not real high.....2k max around here depending on the tires and which wheels it has. New rubber will cost almost more than the truck is worth. IMO

Yeah this one has those too. I'm not sure about the wheels & tires. I'd have to check those out when I go back by.

But if yours is the same maybe it's not as optioned out as I thought...

Sounds nice! post some pictures so we can see your newest truck. lockring wheels are plentiful but finding decent 8.25 x20 tires is tought unless you just order the new ones. I found some good aggresive treads for my 53 but they are 9x20 so it will sit taller, if i ever mount them.

I believe most of the items on that list are part of the custom cab option. It seems to be about as common on the big trucks as it was on the smaller ones. You didn't say if it was running/driveable, but for value, anywhere in the $500-1500 price range, being totally dependent on condition. And I would err on the lesser. There's little demand for big trucks, and they're usually worth more in parts or scrap than as a complete vehicle for restoration. Figure 5000 pounds at $140 a ton.
