Carbureted Heads W/ Fuelie Intake?

...and that's a huge difference when you're trying to create a perfect seal and port alignment. You'd have to grind so much of your EFI manifold down to fit, that you'd go inside the ports - like it was said.
Not to mention that EFI manifolds/headers will not work with carb heads either.
Just get the stock heads worked over once you get enough cash.

--by most all accounts, especially the link above, (see post 113) the carb heads are not compatible and can not be made compatible with the EFI manifold.
--If your heads are off a '69 Lincoln, that's nice I suppose, but they are not the same as the heads off a Boss Mustang. Not even close.
So maybe you need to reboot on this before you spend any more time and money???

Brad is definitely right. I'm pretty good friends with a guy that owns an engine machining shop, and just for fun when business is slow, he tries things just like this. fitting parts to motors that don't belong, but might yield good performance. he got a set of carb heads (I'm not sure how old, but carb none the less) and put them on an EFI 460. He ground them down until they'd fit and had to do a ton of work on them to get the ports to match. And after all that work to get them to fit and bolt all the EFI stuff back on, it dyno'd at only 10 more horsepower than the stock EFI heads, and the stock EFI heads dyno'd at more when they were ported.
So stick with the EFI heads.

Carb heads will bolt to the block without problems.
BUT, the exhaust and intake manifolds are not even close!
The valve reliefs in the pistons are different too.
If you're looking to upgrade your '92 heads, get a pair of the better flowing F3TE heads instead of the E7's you have.
Then have them cleaned up and install.
(along with later pistons that have different compression height)
Over on 460ford.com you can find MANY posts from Scotty with EFI flow numbers and dyno proven horsepower results.
Heck, you can even buy a set of fully ported heads from him.
But expect to switch over to MAF, get a cam, bigger injectors and do considerable tuning in order to take advantage of it.

You guys have talked me out of it lol. I talked to my gfs dad (a die hard Ford drag racer) and he says he does all his own head work. i.e. he can do ANY head work minus seat grinding i.e. I wont have to worry about getting different heads at all.
Quick question: how much HP is the newer F3TE heads worth over my stock heads?
