Feel on the bottom side of the HPOP and you'll find the bolts you're looking for...

Thanks everyone ended up finding them on my own. Wish that Clay had put one of those pictures on his instructions. other that that little problem everything worked out good. Hope that it stops the oil leaks i have been having. the worst O rings were inside the discharge fittings. Oh well thanks everyone again!

There are no dumb questions it stands for High Pressure Oil Pump HPOP. It takes time to learn all the code words I still dont know them all.

When you go to tighten the two bolts do go crazy the front cover is aluminum and if you strip the threads it will turn into a nightmare

Here's quite a few. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...finitions.html

As always though don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Been there, done that, and luckily came out ok.

Stripped the one right beside the IPR, good thing I didn't crack the front cover.

It's fixable, but it's not an easy fix, take it from me...

I stripped the same one. And you're right. The fix is not easy, but beats the hell out of pulling the engine to replace the front cover.

Clay told me to contact Joey at TE and Joey told me about the Fastenal steel insert fix (better than a helicoil). Clay can now supply the inserts, drll bit and taps to make the repair.

You bet I did and knock on wood, it's still holding!

Clay was kind enough to answer a call and 1:00 in the morning as he was boarding a plane to help me with this. He referred me to Joey, who in turn recommended the fix.

It took time and really steady hands, but shes good to go!

So you over torqued the bolt?

I don't think I want to be in that position if I rebuild my HPOP. Hopefully the instructions give the torque specs and not leave it up to me to determine since I am not so good at "tightening by sense".
