New Excursion to me 2001

Well after wanting one for years and after having my first child I finally pulled the trigger. I bought a 2001 Excursion 4x4 limited 7.3. I bought it from the original owner a 70 year old man. I pick it up at the end of the month. I wanted to put a 4 inch lift and was wanting some recomindations. I will be towing a 6500 pound boat with it. Thanks for the info.

Dunno about linking with an iphone. Easiest way I know is to upload your pics to an image hosting site like photobucket and link the img code in your post

You might want to invest in a set of gauges so you dont bbq your motor with high egt's

It's always a good idea to have them. When you increase the power of the truck it works harder producing more heat. Since you plan on towing with toons your EGT's are higher than you may think. High sustained EGT's will cause engine and turbo damage. Since your toons adjust the shift points you need to watch your temps when running it hard or towing. A factory Ex 7.3 wot 0-60 will push about 800-900* EGT's. since you have a 4" that helps but usually most people buy gauges first to avoid any problems.
