I am trying to decide how wide of wheels I am going to buy for my 78 F150 4X4 with stock suspension. I am planning on running 33 X 12.50 tires and am curious whether it would look better with 8 or 10 inch wide wheels. I have also been told that I won't be able to fit the 10 inch wide wheels on it with 33 X 12.50s and stock suspension. Could I see some pics of 8 or 10 inch wide wheels on trucks with stock suspension.

 

I don't have any pics of the suspension, but my truck came with 33's on 10" wide wheels. In fact the 33's on it were 33x14.50's, some old all terrains with over an inch of tread depth. My truck has a flatbed on the rear, which they rubbed, but they fit ok in the front. Everything looked stock, there were some of the bolt on type overload springs in the rear, but the flatbed weighs about 1000 lbs.

 

Here's 33's on on 10" aluminum slots. The suspension is stock, but it has a 3" body lift.
