Exclamation 1986 4x4 ford flareside

hi there this is my first post sorry if i post in the wrong area.I have a 1986 f150 flareside 4x4, 70,xxx original miles,5.0L,302 EFI, auto tranny. Im interested in selling it and was wandering if anyone knew where i should list it besides craigslist? the real problems with it are rough paint but no rust or holes. and the wood in the bed needs replaced.i also have no idea how much i should list her for? im only 20 years old shes my daily driver and i cant afford to do a paint job or replace the bed. i figured someone might want her to do a restore she deserves to look better than what i can do with her. so any input yall can give me id appriciate it

I think you need 25 posts to place a classified ad here.

Don't give up on the 'ol girl. Just call it work in progress.

If you want to do new wood cheaper, just go to the lumber yard and pick up some boards and find somebody with a router to make the "steps" on the edges. Then you can use any kind of wood you want.

Paint can be done in due time. Heck, I drove around with a blue cab/fenders and white box until I could find the time to get the box in paint.

If you really like it, keep it and enjoy it. Good ones are getting hard to find.

Got any pics?

You'll have to use Photobucket or a similar site. Copy and paste the IMG code.

Now why would you want to walk away from that truck? Just give it a little TLC as you can. Like all of us, take it one job at a time.

Well, the gas thing does make it a little tougher. But at 20, that's a great truck to learn to wrench on, and that's a skill you'll carry with you for life. Maybe the time you spend working on it will work out to a little less time driving it for now, so you can save some money that way.

That's too bad you can't hang on to it, especially since it's been in the family since new. It's a really nice truck.

Are you able to store it for a "rainy day" project?

On another note, wish I had the extra cash right now. It's all going into my money pit at the time.

I'd love to have the experience but my step dad is a mechanic and I've learned tons from him more Thani ever would of. I've built a couple of trucks for class projects
