ok the last few days have been trouble free with the crank no start. however today i took the kids to the park when we got back from the walk i started the truck it would start but would misfire push the gas and it would die. acted like it wasn't getting enough fuel. after a few attemts it started and ran fine. so i stopped at the auto parts store on the way home picked up a fuel filter. got back in the truck and same thing. replaced the filter and started right up. i sure hope i have no more problems with this thing.

Sorry to hear that George. Stumped as well. Gotten to the point where I don't trust driving it. I've been lucky the past week or so.

Bummer George! Since removing my "cough cough" performance chip and fixing my battery ground cable I haven't had any more stalls or misfires (knock on wood). I hope like hell this was my problem all along but still pretty uncertain. I have no idea which direction or what I'll replace if this wasn't the problem. There's plenty of really good input and advice here but getting them to chime in is the hard part. I'm in the same boat as you, just getting a break between when the truck turns into Sybil.

My truck finally failed for good so I was able to diagnose the problem. I swapped the relay with the one next to it which is an identical relay. That didn't fix the problem so I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and it read zero! So I dropped the tank and replaced the pump and BINGO! that was it.
