I bought this truck a few weeks back so I am just learning about it.

Any guess about what these loose wires under the hood were for?
Should I connect that loose red wide to the positive pole on the battery?

Also, I am new to this forum so I don't know if I can show larger pictures here or not.

Pass through wires. For your use in hooking up extra goodies. Ford thought it would be better to run them through the firewall instead of you needing to find a place to do it.

You will find the other ends inside the cab behind the fuse block above your left foot when sitting in the seat.

 

Just saw the large red one. Need to follow that one to where ever it goes. Not sure about it.

 

Small wires above fuse box are feedthru wiress. They're there for you to run thru the firewall. Other ends stowed in bundle above parking brake, just behind knee cover. The large red wire could have routed to an amp or inverter. I wouldn't hook that up until a through investigation.. Same with the long green and black wires.
