Fier Wall Mounting, Malpassi Filter King

Hi Everyone,

I plan on mounting a malpassi filter king on the fire wall of my 1950 F1. What would be the best way of doing this?

Could I simply use self tapping stainless steel screws with thread lock to anchor it to the fire wall?

Or do I need to peel back the inside insulation and anchor the screws with nuts?

For those who have tapped into the fire wall and hung items, could you share your experiance?

Thank You.

I wouldn't think the firewall would be thick enough to allow much thread purchase. Probably get a only one thread to hold the thing on. Won't be enough. I would use nuts & bolts.
