leveling kit for f150 question

I want to put new coil springs on my ford 1996 f150. I know that from the factory the trucks sat level. I have read that if the trucks have a/c and other options in them and you put new stock coils back in then the truck will sag in the front. I also that about puting 2" coils in the front. not sure what to do eny info or insight you have will help.

I'm going to assume your truck is 4wd, only because you haven't stated otherwise. You are incorrect in saying that the trucks are level from the factory. there is usually about a 2" difference from back to front. There are several ways to level these trucks. Some companies sell leveling kits, taller springs or a coil space, or you can buy springs for a 2wd F250 and use those to level it.

The truck is 2wd. I have decided to put on 2" lift coil springs. I was aslo wondering if with the truck sitting level or close to level if i would run into problems running stock hight shocks or if they would sit fine.

The stock shocks should be fine for the increased height. I have a 4wd w/ 2" coils. Before I replaced my shocks I called the place I bought them from & they said stock shocks were fine for 2" lift.

Thinks for the help. The truck sits just under level without the box on. The stock shocks work fine on the truck.
