Battscrew is starting off with a positive reputation.
blown spark plug jet insert

long time away, busy with life etc....

driving out to Radium and 50k to go got the dreaded blown plug , mechanic used the jet brand insert.

is that a good brand and what would the life expectancy be of an insert?

mcdonaldm is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
looks like the Cal-Van repair kit just sold under Jet Tools logo. i got my kit from Snap -On and looks like the same kit.

from research i did, these are suppose to be one of the best kits out there for doing this repair and is suppose to last the life of the truck. from research i did, all the major head rebuilders use these kits as standard on their rebuilt heads to get away from this known defect.

i plan on doing the other 7 when i get some time. very easy kit to use and install.

i defiently wouldn't worry about the cyl with the insert, the other 7 i would worry about.
