Parts identification

What is this off of the coil pack and how will it affect angine performance if its broke. Truck runs fine and i drive it every day.

What is this and why is it plugged off? Looks like a transmission vacuum line, but it is a 5 spd manual.

#1 looks like it goes to that capacitor, prolly used to supress noise from the ignition system getting into the AM radio stations.
#2 maybe a transmission vent? Looks like somebody put a bolt in it when it should be a vent cap.
