Oh heck yeah. Dinner was awesome. We had a great time. Thanks to Josh for hosting and cooking/smoking the pig. Everyone contributed and it was all delicious. Seriously, the pigs were moist and had three types of flavoring. All the sides were spot on and a perfect fit for the meal. A lot of fun hanging out and sharing stories. Sorry we missed the picking session. Hope we can do this again soon. Maybe March.

About the only thing that could have made the cook-out any better is if we all would have hit the lottery. Compliments to the chefs. Guys everyone did a fantastic job. Entertaining conversations, great food, and willingness to get out of the house and take a break to enjoy the company of great friends. What more could a person want on a lazy Saturday evening? We surely need to do this again. I believe it was maybe Marty who said "Why are we spending money on restaurants with cooks like this in our group?" Josh thanks for the hospitality. I had a great day spending it with some of the best friends you could ask for. Cant wait till next month to see where it goes from here. We also all need to get together and bend some strings soon.

I'm sorry I missed out on the guitar's coming out.
I'm no musician by any means, and would really like to see how we sound together. Hopefully WP plays loud enough to drown me out a bit.

Had a blast folks. Saturday was a perfect example of what life is all about! Thanks to all who were able to participate and make it what it was. I'm looking forward to our next outing.

EDIT: Did I mention that I ate too much? As always...lol.

It was an awesome time! The food was excellent as was the company. Sorry we booked right when the guitars came out. I didn't even think of bringing one; I really don't know what's wrong with me. Next time I'll bring one and they should come out sooner.
BTW: What acoustics does everybody have? I have a older Seagull Cedar and a Fender 12.

Am I the only one in the group who don't play a guitar? The only thing that I can play is a radio and they're getting so complicated lately that I probably won't be playing them long either...lol. When you folks hit the big time, I'll drive the Prevost.

I don't play anything either, musical talent skipped me for sure. But damn it sounds like there needs to be an FTE jam band pretty soon!

I'm no musician, guitars have been part of my "Therapy" since I've been off work. Something to keep the hands and mind working, even a little bit.
But I don't completely suck either.

I don't play any instruments.... but with a beer or 6 I can sing.

Not sure if it's any good, but sounds good to me.

Well as for a list I would have to do an inventory, But here is a couple of mentionables,

Black Gibson Dove 6 string
52' Fender Mustang
An Ovation acoustic-electric
Washburn 6 string acoustic
MY favorite one to play is a Takamine G-series which is the one I brought with me. Me and that ole girl has had a long relationship. Lol.

I love to play but, I just haven't played enough recently to keep the fingers hitting the right places. Hopefully we can all get this fire thing rolling again real soon. Looking forward to it already. Don't let Josh fool you. For the time he told me he picked a guitar up he does good and renewed the passion for me to get one out of a case more often. Bring a 12 string also, they are wicked for getting in the rhythm (what a weird word to spell). Well time to go out and check on todays adventure, Have a great day everyone.

October is here. Who is hungry?

I'm suggesting Howard's BBQ in Lillington this month.

Howards Barbecue

Wednesdays are out for me for a few weeks. I'll try to work around any other dates. Next week might be my best chance. Tuesday or Thursday work for anyone next week?
