Question Hub, rotor spindle swap????????

Does anyone know before I pull it apart whether the TTB Dana 50 outers (hubs, rotors, stub shaft etc.) of 93 vintage will interchange with a 78 Dana 44???

Hub, rotor spindle swap????????

The spacing between the balljoints, as well as the pitch of the balljoints is different. I was going to do this same thing on my truck, but the only way to do it is to use the 78 8-lug D44 outers.

Hub, rotor spindle swap????????

The D50 should have larger disks & dual-piston calipers that wont' fit inside the 15" rims that the D44 used. The D50 stub shafts are larger, so the spindles are, too, and they probably mount with more studs than the D44. The hubs are DEFINITELY different, because they use a MUCH larger hub lock.

Hub, rotor spindle swap????????

I guess I didnt explain fully, sorry. The Dana 44 is a 3/4 ton from a 78 F250 it already is 8 lug but its the small hub version. It has dual piston calipers already on it. The reason I want to swap is because everything is shot on the 78 and the 93 everything is new.
