I have a 94 bronco with the 5.0. I have a chance to get a great set, practically new ford racing shorty headers for it, but they are off a fox body 5.0 mustang. Will they work?
My firing order is 13765258 or something close to that(i don't remember exactly) is that what it's setup to be from the factory? I thought all truck style 5.0s were 1548 something or another?(it's been awhile and I just got off work from 12 hour days bear with me) I was a little confused and wondered if maybe I'm just crazy for thinking that! Haven't been around the forum in awhile. Sold my 96 bronco due to the family getting bigger and finally the wife let me back into a bronco lol
The Stang headers won't fit a truck chassis. And the firing order is correct, your motor has the F4TE roller cam which uses the HO firing order. It's just a small step in specs under the HO grind on the intake side. (256/266 advertised duration, .422/.445 lift vs the HO's 266/266 and .445/.445) The F4TE was also used in the 96-2001 Explorer 5.0
These headers will bolt to the motor no problem.. it's the same basic motor that's in the Mustang anyway, they will not bolt to the truck exhaust however that is where the problem is.
