Hello,

Just bought a 89 f450 for a work truck. One issue is not being able to switch tanks. I'm stuck on the back tank. This is a new issue it was working when I first picked it up a month ago.

Are their some simple trouble shooting things I can do before handing it over to a mechanic?

 

goto a jy an pull a switch first, any dual tank truck. contacts may be bad

 

I think the actual switch works. When I try to switch tanks it starts to choke itself off even though the tanks are full.

 

Sounds like the pump u switch too is dead
